Privacy Policy

Hi there! This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected and used on this blog, Beyond the Design Perspective by Nduhi Ann, which is hosted on Blogger (a Google service).

Since I use Google AdSense to display ads, Google and its partners collect specific data to show you relevant advertisements. I am required to be transparent about this.

If you have any questions, please contact me at nduhiann@gmail.com.

1. What Information is Collected?

When you visit this blog, certain information is automatically logged. I don't directly collect personal info like your name or email unless you give it to me by leaving a comment.

However, because of the ads and the fact that this is a Google site, the following non-personal information may be collected by Google:

Visitor Data: This includes your Internet Protocol (IP) address, the type of browser you're using (Chrome, Safari, etc.), your Internet Service Provider (ISP), and what pages you visited on this site. This is standard for any website and helps me understand how people use my blog.

Cookies: This blog uses "cookies." Cookies are small text files stored on your browser. They help remember your preferences (like language) and understand how you interact with the site.

Google AdSense Cookies: Specifically, Google uses cookies to make advertising more effective. These cookies help show you ads based on your recent visits to this blog and other websites on the internet.

2. How is This Information Used?

The collected information is used for two main purposes:

To Show Ads: Google AdSense uses the data from its cookies to display ads that are more likely to be interesting and useful to you. This supports the blog and allows me to create free content.

To Improve the Blog: I look at the general visitor data (like which posts are most popular) to learn what my readers like and improve the content.

3. Third-Party Services

We use third-party services on our blog that collect data to help us understand our audience and show advertisements.

Google AdSense: This service is used to display advertisements. AdSense uses cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to our website and other sites on the Internet. Please review Google's Privacy & Terms for more information.

Google Analytics: This service helps us understand how visitors interact with our blog. It collects data about traffic, time spent on pages, and the sites visitors came from. This information is used in a way that does not personally identify anyone. You can learn more about how Google uses your data here.

These companies have their own privacy policies governing how they use data. We do not have control over their practices.

4. Your Privacy Choices

You have control over how your data is used for advertising:

Opt-out of Personalized Ads: You can choose to stop Google AdSense from using your data to personalize ads. You can do this by visiting Google's Ad Settings page. Opting out will still show you ads, but they may be less relevant to you.

Delete Cookies: You can also delete cookies from your browser at any time. Check your browser's "Help" menu to learn how.

5. External Links

Our blog may contain links to other websites that are not operated by us. If you click on a third-party link, you will be directed to that third party’s site.

We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.

We strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policy of every site you visit.
